Committees In order to carry out all the projects that Kiwanis is involved with throughout the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees.

Board of DirectorsCurrent Board
Charitable GivingThis group is responsible for securing the funds necessary to meet budget requirements and charitable requests. Oversees the teams responsible for fundraising for the Annual Appeal and Project Eliminate, Peanut Days and the Annual Trivia Event. This group reviews charitable requests and makes recommendation for board approval.
Community ServicesThis committee should implement projects on the arts, business affairs, citizenship, civic improvement, community beautification, conservation, health, international understanding, literacy, public affairs, safety or help for senior citizens and disabled persons.
EliminateFunding for Eliminate Project
Financial Review CommitteeThe Financial Review Committee meets annually to review the clubs financial records and tax returns to ensure compliance with the appropriate accounting procedures.

InterclubQuarterly Meetings to Maintain Relationships with Other Clubs
Membership Growth and EducationThe membership committee monitors all aspects of membership, including recruitment, retention and education—bringing in new members, teaching them about Kiwanis and then ensuring that the member experience meets everyone’s expectations.

President’s CouncilDevelop Nominees for Club Officers, Board Members, and Share Ideas for Overall Club Development.
Public Relations and ProgramThis committee is responsible for helping to ensure that the public receives, through the media and other means, news about events, service projects, fundraisers, goals, programs and achievements of the club. This committee is tasked with ensuring the club website is current and secures speakers for weekly meetings.
Service Leadership ProgramsThis group shall devise ways and means to establish and support Kiwanis Kids programs in elementary schools, Builders Clubs in junior high or middle school, Key Clubs in high schools, Circle K International clubs in the universities and colleges and Aktion Clubs for adults with disabilities. It should encourage and promote the activities of all SLP clubs sponsored by the club. The committee should include the Kiwanis club advisors to sponsored SLP clubs.
